This article is relevant to you if:

  • You have already processed a transfer that has already been legally effected off Pulley.

  • You want to reflect that transfer on Pulley.

  1. To record a transfer of equity that occurred outside of Pulley, go to the page of the securities to be transferred (For example, Cap Table > Shares > CS-6). Click the Actions dropdown, then click Transfer.

  2. Next, add information about who will be the recipient of the transferred securities. To add a recipient who isn't already on your cap table, click Add New Recipient. Otherwise, select the recipient from the dropdown.

ℹ️ Tip: Transferring one security to many stakeholders, or many securities to one stakeholder.

Transferring one security to many stakeholders.

To add another transfer recipient (one to many, i.e. 1 grant being split amongst multiple recipients), click +Add transfers at the bottom of the page (see above screenshot). Skip this step if you're only transferring one to one.

Transferring many securities to one stakeholder.

To transfer multiple securities to one person (many to one), you must transfer each security separately to the single stakeholder by following the instructions on this page. There is no way to do this action 'in batch'.

  3. In the next step, you'll be able to confirm the details of the transfer, as well as the impact on the cap table that will occur once you submit the changes.

  4. Once you click Submit, the transfer will be recorded and changes should be reflected in your cap table.

  5. Clicking Done will take you back to the original security's page, where the transfer will now be recorded. You can look at the resulting securities by clicking on their IDs. In this case, that would be "CS-7" and "CS-8". As previewed in the "Review Changes" page from before, this original security has been cancelled, and two securities have been created: One for the remaining securities belonging to the original stakeholder, and one for the transferred securities belonging to the recipient.
