# How do I accelerate vesting?

This article is relevant if:

- You wish to reflect an acceleration of vesting in Pulley; and

- The security you want to accelerate vesting for already has a vesting schedule attached. Click [here](https://help.pulley.com/en/articles/6080484-how-do-i-insert-vesting-in-pulley) to learn how to insert a vesting schedule if there is not one applied yet.

**The instructions below are for non-termination vesting acceleration scenarios.** For termination-related vesting acceleration, please follow our separate stakeholder termination guide [here](https://help.pulley.com/en/articles/4804135-terminating-an-employee) to properly reflect the acceleration upon termination.

## Accelerate Vesting

1. Go to **Cap Table** (left navigation) → then click on the certificate ID of the relevant security

2. In the top right, select **Actions** → **Accelerate Vesting.**

3. Fill in the form. 'Accelerated Quantity' should be the remaining quantity you want to accelerate on the Vesting Acceleration Date. Done!
