The Pulley dashboard's cap table is your central hub for managing and viewing equity ownership in your company. The cap table defaults to a stakeholder ownership view, providing a comprehensive overview of equity distribution across all stakeholders.

πŸ‘‰ Note: The ownership view was previously accessed via a toggle button. It now has its own dedicated tab and serves as the default view when accessing the cap table.

Accessing the cap table

To access your cap table, select Cap Table from the left-hand navigation menu in the Pulley dashboard.

Understanding cap table tabs

The cap table includes multiple tabs based on the types of equity contracts you've added to your company. Available tabs include:

  • Ownership (default view): Stakeholder-level equity overview

  • Contract-specific tabs: Such as Shares, SAFEs, RSAs, RSUs, Convertible Notes, etc.

As you add different types of contracts to your cap table, additional tabs will automatically appear, with each issuance type getting its own dedicated tab for easy navigation and management for its respective information.

Ownership view features

Main table view

The main table organizes your cap table data by stakeholder, making it easy to see each person or entity's complete equity position in one place. Each row in the table represents an individual stakeholder, with columns displaying:

  • Stakeholder name

  • Share classes held by the stakeholder

  • Outstanding values for each share class

  • Equity incentive plan information

  • Total number of shares issued and outstanding

  • Fully diluted ownership percentage

  • Additional stakeholder-level information

Summary cards

Above the table, summary cards provide a quick snapshot of your company's overall equity structure. These cards display:

  • Outstanding share values for each share class

  • Outstanding values for each equity incentive plan

  • Number of equity awards issued outside of a plan

Navigating to Details

Many values in the cap table are clickable links that allow you to drill down into more detailed information:

  • Stakeholder names: Click any name in the Stakeholder column to view that person or entity's complete profile within Pulley

  • Share classes: Select a share class (e.g., "Common") in the Share Class column to review the detailed specifications and terms for that share class

  • Certificates: Click a certificate name in the Certificate column to view the full issued certificate documentation

  • Option types: Select option type entries to view detailed grant information

This linking functionality allows you to seamlessly navigate between your cap table overview and the detailed records and contracts that support it.

Working with the table

The Pulley cap table provides sorting, filtering, and customization tools to help you view exactly the data you need.

Sorting data

Click on any column header to sort the table by that column. Click again to toggle between ascending and descending order, allowing you to quickly organize stakeholders by ownership percentage, share count, or any other available metric.

Customizing columns

To control which information is visible in your table:

  1. Select the columns icon in the table toolbar

  2. Check or uncheck columns you wish to show or hide

  3. Your customized view will be applied immediately

This allows you to focus on the metrics most relevant to your current task.

Pagination controls

Manage how many rows display per page to suit your workflow:

  • Default: 50 rows per page

  • Available options: 5, 25, 50, or 200 rows per page

  • Use pagination controls at the bottom of the table to navigate between pages

Search and filter capabilities

Use search and filters to narrow down your stakeholder list and focus on specific segments of your cap table.

Search function

To quickly find a specific stakeholder, use the search bar to search by stakeholder name.

Advanced filters

To filter the table, select the filter icon and refine your results with any combination of available filters:

  • Specific stakeholder names

  • External IDs

  • Stakeholder type

  • Relationship status

  • Equity incentive plans

Multiple filters can be applied simultaneously (e.g., filtering by founder type and specific incentive plans) to create customized views of your cap table data.

Cap table actions

From the Actions menu, you can perform key equity management tasks:

  • Add - Issue new equity to stakeholders

  • Edit - Modify existing equity records

  • Reclassify Shares - Change share classifications

  • Cancel Shares - Cancel or terminate equity positions

Downloading your cap table

Export your ownership data to work with it offline or share it with stakeholders, investors, or advisors.

How to download

  1. Click the Download button in the top right of the cap table view

  2. Choose your date range:

    • Or uncheck "All time" to specify a custom date range for a historical snapshot

  3. Optional: Check Include Drafts to include draft transactions in your export

  4. Click Download to generate your cap table file
