Pulley makes the it easy for employees and executives to have visibility into their ownership using the Stakeholder Portal. Stakeholders see exactly where they stand, creating trust and clarity across the organization.

What is a Stakeholder

A stakeholder is any person or entity who holds equity in your company. This includes all founders, investors, and employees. A stakeholder can hold multiple securities (i.e. investor with many notes).

Pulley subscriptions bills based on each unique stakeholder.

Enabling the Stakeholder Portal

Benefits of Inviting Stakeholders to Stakeholder Portal

There are several benefits to inviting stakeholders to the portal.

  1. Stakeholders can view their holding (whether it's a SAFE, options, shares etc.) online as it exists on your Pulley cap table.

  2. Where applicable, stakeholders can see their security vest in real-time.

  3. Where applicable, stakeholders can download share certificates on Pulley.

  4. If you upload their documents, stakeholders can see all their equity-related paperwork in one place.

  5. If you're on the Growth Plan, users can e-sign equity-related documents on Pulley.

If you want to see what your stakeholders will see when invited to Pulley, go here.

Having employees understand their equity and ownership is a key way to drive engagement with an organization and strengthen employee buy-in and retention.

  1. On the left navigation, select Hire and RetainEmployee Portal

  2. Select Edit on the right of the page.

  3. Fill in the required information:

    • Company Contact (optional) - stakeholders can email the company's direct contact for any question regarding their equity.

    • Select the toggle on the right of Show Share Price.

      1. Enter in the date and price of the shares at the time of the inputted date.
For example, enter in the share price from 2021 and 2022. You may also include a reason for the different share prices. See below.

  4. Once you're done, select Save. You have now activated the Stakeholder/Employee Portal view for stakeholders so that they can visually see what their equity is worth based on company provided share prices.

Once you've turned on the Stakeholder Portal, the next step is inviting your stakeholders to Pulley. Learn more on how to do that here.

Stakeholder Portal View

Pulley will only let invited stakeholder see their own holdings - not the full cap table, nor the fully diluted percentages - just that they own X shares in Y company.

Here is a 3 minute video that will show in detail what a stakeholder will see on Pulley:

Previewing the Stakeholder Portal as an Admin
