How do I modify a certificated share ID?

Update, edit, modify, or change a certificate share ID for single share issuances or in bulk on the cap table.

There are two ways to update a certificate ID in Pulley, depending on whether you're changing one or several at a time:

1. Change a single certificate ID

  1. Go to Cap Table in the left navigation

  2. Click the Certificate ID of the share you want to update

  3. On the security detail page, click Actions → Modify

  4. Update the Certificate ID in the Terms section

  5. Save your changes

Certificate IDs must be unique. If you can't save a particular ID, it likely means that ID already exists on the cap table.

2. Change multiple certificate IDs at once

Use Spreadsheet Mode for bulk updates.

  1. From Cap Table, click the green Actions button and select Edit

  2. Update Certificate IDs across rows directly in the spreadsheet

  3. Click Save Changes when finished

The same unique ID rule applies in bulk. If an ID already exists on the cap table, the save will fail for that row.
