Everything you need to know about switching from Carta to Pulley.

What is the process of migrating from Carta to Pulley?

We will provide you with an email address that you will add as a "Full Access" admin on your Carta account (Company Settings β†’ Users and Permissions β†’ Add User). If that option isn't available, "Company Editor" works as well. After you do that, let us know and the Pulley Onboarding team will take care of the rest.

How long does it take?

Offboarding your data is a quick process handled by the Pulley Onboarding team. We typically export data on the same day you provide access to your account. If you have an upcoming renewal, we ask for 3 business days of notice to confirm all relevant data is exported.

After offboarding the data, you can expect to hear from us with a first draft of the cap table within 5-7 business days.

We'll let you know if we need more time. This can happen when your cap table is particularly complex or if your cap table isn't 100% current.

Will my employees or investors be notified?

You have total control over notifications to any stakeholders. If you choose to notify a stakeholder, they will receive an email to accept their security on Pulley and will not receive additional correspondence unless authorized. You are not required to inform stakeholders of the migration, although we are happy to provide language regarding migration details.

Will my lawyer need to review it?

It's a best practice to have your lawyer review your cap table to ensure the information entered reflects the reality of your company today.

Who can I talk to if I have questions?
