How do I record a SAFE?

Record SAFEs already issued on Pulley.

This article is relevant to you if:

  • You want to record SAFEs that have already been signed off Pulley.

  • You know how to read and input the terms of your SAFE into Pulley. If you don't, start here.

  1. Hit + New β†’ Existing Contracts.

2. Select SAFEs.

From here, you have 2 methods of adding SAFEs.


Method 1 (recommended): Use the SAFE parser.

If you have SAFE agreements, you can upload your SAFEs on Pulley in seconds via our scanner.

Note: The scanner only works with PDF files, so make sure to convert your SAFE beforehand if it's in any other format.

  1. Select Upload By: Scanner.

  2. Upload the SAFEs you want to add to Pulley. You can add more than one.

  3. Press Scan SAFEs.

  4. Check the inputs scanned are correct. You can change them on each screen as you look through the SAFEs.

  5. Click on Save & Continue to add the SAFE in Drafts

  6. Once reviewed, click on the Add to Cap Table button on the bottom right

Method 2: Manually record the SAFEs using form or spreadsheet mode.

Or you can manually record your SAFEs in Pulley by following these steps:

  1. Select Upload By: Spreadsheet or Upload By: Spreadsheet.

  2. Complete the relevant fields. . Details on how to fill out each field are below.

  3. Click on Save & Continue to add the SAFE in Drafts

  4. Once reviewed, click on the Add to Cap Table button on the bottom right
