To learn more about different types of SAFEs, read our explainer here.

Check your fundraising documents to determine whether you are raising on a post or pre-money SAFE.

1. Post-Money SAFEs typically say "Post-Money Valuation Cap", and Pre-Money SAFEs typically say "Pre-Money"

2. Check the "Company Capitalization" section:

Post-Money SAFE: The company capitalization definition includes all Convertible Securities (meaning all other SAFEs)

Pre-Money SAFE: The company capitalization definition of pre-money SAFEs excludes all other SAFEs.
